Down Together

Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers played a post-game concert last night at Chase Field after the Dbacks beat the Padres.

They put on a fun, though short (not their choice), show - consisting of both RCPM material and older Refreshments stuff. The highlight of the show probably came during “Down Together”, in which a couple ran onto the field and literally went “down together” as security guards tackled them. Skip forward to 2:50 (or 1:20 remaining) to see the awesomeness of a woman getting tackled like an NFL player.

The Second Coming

Nike has a website where you can create your own mashups of the “Second Coming” commercial. I played around with it for a while, but I don’t have the patience to make anything halfway cool. This guy - a fellow Suns fan - did, though:

The commercial features the song “The Second Coming” by Juelz Santana. It’s not on iTunes yet, and the only versions I can find elsewhere seem to be bad rips from the commercial. Oh well. I’ll wait. I want that song. It would be good to run to.

Spike TV has actually done something to make me laugh. It’s been a while since they’ve been able to entertain me. The UFC Shamrock “fight” doesn’t count.

Anyway, they’ve got some commercials going for their gaming awards show (which in itself is a travesty, but that’s a whole other topic). The commercials are based on the now infamous Leeroy Jenkins, of World of Warcraft fame. For the ignorant, klicken Sie hier.

Beer overflow is NOT barbaric!

Seriously, it’s just plain funny. They claim it is barbaric and wastes beer? Only if you’re a damn sissy! If your beer bottle gets hit from the top by another bottle, you had better chug that overflow. If you don’t, then it’s your fault and you’re the one wasting the beer. So hit those bottles, and don’t be ashamed!

I typically respect the Man Law. But this one is just crap.
